This way out!

Deadly earthquakes, oil spills, crisis... What a year!
I 'm placing my hopes on the next one.

Oh! Summertime!

People, I 'm back!
It's been a long time since my last post, so this one contains lots of stuff - to compensate for my absence :) Not that easy to choose among 600+ photos, though - I might upload a few more of them in future posts.
So, here it goes:

Pics from Parga

View from castle - part of the town

This is, well... an anchor, what else?

What a view... Feels like flying...

Diving from here is not advisable, though.

Let's take a look!

Siamese twin islets

A small gulf and the Ionian sea

OK, let's go swim, now!

Io sono un cane italiano.

Looks like a hand drill (in a sense, it is)

Inside a small church

Public and private spaces intertwined.

Kalloni (Skala) at Lesbos island

What a peaceful place it was... Here 's the village harbor

A fishing boat

Some more of them.

Mytilene, capital of Lesbos

Part of the city. One can see the cathedral's bell tower,
built in gothic style, which is somewhat unusual in Greece.

Typical old house

Market street

Remnants of the castle - just a tiny part

Time to say goodbye

Some unsorted material

Upstairs please

So, here we are

Towels in RGB

More towels

Yeah, contrary to all predictions, eventually I had a good summer... Crisis? What crisis?

Passage

I 've been neglecting photo-blogging and visiting blogger pals, lately. Reason is I 've been hooked by some new projects, of which I ll let you know through the side bar, soon (hopefully).

Worn paint

When I was a kid, I liked to think of patterns on worn walls as maps of unknown, mysterious regions.
Here is one such "map".

Infinity café

David Hilbert would love to sip his coffee here.

(to non-greek speakers: Απειρον = Infinity)

Black

My thoughts and feelings these last few days
about my country entering its darkest period
since who knows when...

(they say it's always darkest just before the dawn)

PS Please do not comment on this post, if you don't mind.
PS2 I need a break. I 'll be back soon

June 5th; update: the link I provided seemed to be broken. It now points to a relevant wikipedia article.
